I joined the Global Game Jam 2015 at the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht. This was my first time and I really loved the experience. Even if you aren't too good at something, just join for FUN and the ability to meet fantastic new people. Because it was my first time I didn't want to go alone, so I asked a few friends at school to join me. We decided that we didn't necessarily wanted to form a team together, but we asked around first. In the end we all joined a different team, but still went to check in on each other a few times a day. So that was definitely awesome, specially since we come from a whole other course. We are following Communication and Multimedia Design and not a special game education or something.
I made a short game about Albert the monkey, together with the team of Digital Dreams Games and their ex-intern Joey. My role in the team was designing all the game art, and getting it ready to put in the game. With this game we won the award for 'Best Gameconcept' in Hilversum, here in the Netherlands.
Download the game here, and see if you can get Albert into space!
